Snow was falling and 24 deg. F at Silver Crest Trails this morning. There was 1-2 in. of fresh snow on the trails, even after last nights grooming by KHGA groomer. Mike was able to go over a good portion of the trails twice and set classic track. Some trails…

Again we struggled with warmer weather and equipment issues today. The trails are not what we hoped, not all trails were groomed and track was only partially set. We’ll be working to get them up to snuff as quickly as we can, but may have to wait for more snow.

It was windy and as can be seen in the image pine needles have littered the trails, but they are all groomed and track is set. The skiing was very good today and hopefully trails will firm up again tomorrow and over the week end.

The warm weather was not kind to Silver Crest Trails this past week. Trails are in pretty bad shape this weekend, very icy and chewed up from mid week trail work. We tried a few things to alleviate the hard, icy problem but decided in the end that just leaving…

Was a really nice day up at Silver Crest Trails, all trails were groomed and track set. Lots of people were out enjoying the skiing, trails were firm and fast with nice temperatures and a little afternoon snow.

KHGA groomer cleared the way for Chuck and the SCTA crew to groom all trails and set track on most trails this morning. Weather was nicer up on the hill than down in Great Falls, and the snow and skiing is great. Parking lot looks great, thanks MDT. Looks like…
