The NOAA is predicting rain starting Monday ( Oct 23 ) with snow starting Tuesday afternoon and going until Thursday morning. By Thursday morning there could be 7 to 13 inches of snow at Silver Crest. A good start ! Bob

We set limited classic tracks Monday on several trails. 89er, Mt Eureka, Quicksilver, Sluice Box. Temps in the mid 60’s ! The parking lot is mostly muddy with some dry areas. We also took down the trail signs but plenty of snow left to ski and snowshoe. After 2 weeks…

The parking lot did get plowed after our last post so its in pretty good shape now. We re-groomed Saturday so tracks and the skating lane are in decent condition. Typical spring soft snow conditions starting in the early afternoon. Instead of hats and mittens bring sun-screen ! Although later…

6-8 inches of unplowed snow in the parking lots. Be prepared to get stuck and self-recover your vehicle. The state has stopped plowing for the winter so the parking lot will be rowdy.
