Silver Crest Trails Association

KHGA Groomer was out last night and we were able to set tracks on all trails this morning. The trails were nice and fast. Temperatures were up and the parking lot was plowed. Great day for skiing.

  Temperatures were in the low teens today up at Silver Crest Trails. Track was set and all trails were groomed. Several people were up enjoying the snow. Most stumps are completely buried but we did notice the tops of a few  just at the snow level, so be careful.…

  All trails have been packed, rolled and track is set. The KHGA groomers and SCTA groomers have the trails in fantastic shape just in time Snowfest tomorrow. We have plenty of snow and it is skiing really well. Come enjoy the festivities and try out the newly added trails.

We’ve had quite a bit of snow already this season. Grooming is coming along nice. The trails are very ski ready and tracks should be in place by this weekend. Don’t forget to join us for Snow Fest this weekend!

Despite the cold temperatures, we have begun preparing Silver Crest trails for skiing. It’ll take a few days of rolling and packing the snow, but we’ll eventually get the trails smoother and then some track set.

Silver Crest Trails Association needs additional volunteer groomers.  Typically, 2-3 volunteers groom the trails on Friday mornings, using our John Deer Gator UTV and a snowmobile with grooming implements.  We occasionally groom one additional day per week if there are enough volunteer groomers available and conditions warrant.  Expense for automobile…
