High winds yesterday caused trees to fall across some of the trails. We will be working to clear them. However, skiing is quite good with 2 to 3 inches of new snow on top of a firm base. It is possible to get over or around the downed trees.

All trails were re-groomed with new classic tracks and skate lanes. Skate skiing very doable on most trails. 89er and Gold Run still on the rough side. Incredible sunny day at Silvercrest. Forcast for more sun Sunday with highs in the low 30’s.

We tuned up the trails late in the day so tomorrow should be better for skating. Left the classic tracks as is. 89er and Gold run we left alone, still rough but skiable. One big snow storm is all we need !

A fantastic day of classic skiing at Silvercrest today. Its great out there. The tracks are holding up well. Temps in the mid to high 20’s made for optimal kick and glide conditions. Skies were overcast but very mild with no wind. Lots of post Christmas skiers and snowshoers. Twenty…
