Silver Crest Trails Association

We went up today and groomed all trails. About 2 or 3 inches of new, soft snow on top of a hard and uneven base in the morning. We set new classic tracks . Due to the variety of conditions the track quality ranges from very good in certain areas to not so good depending on the location. Overall they are good to go. We also groomed for skating with similar results… on the rough side in spots and good in others. Temps were nice today… low 20’s in the morning, getting into the high 20’s late afternoon. Friday will be a little warmer… 20f at 9 am, 35f at noon, low 40’s at 3 pm. The trails will probably be icy in the morning. The parking lot is good but gets muddy as it warms up. The weather forcast is for cooler temps and a variety of snow conditions next week ! We’re not giving up yet .
