Where do we start…. Ullr….( stepson of Thor ) the Norse God of snow, skiing, skating and spreading snow over the earth made a visit to Silver Crest Trails last week. On Wednesday (Jan 8) we had 32 inches of snow. By Sunday night (Jan 12) we have 60 inches (5 ft ) on the ground. Watching it accumulate on NOAA graphs in only four days has been amazing. 15 inches in the last 24 hours alone.
The KHGA Pisten Bully won’t be able to deal with us until their usual run Thursday night. They have a lot of work cut out for them. We will discuss options with our Can Am but preliminary thoughts are to wait until the big groomer goes thru and then set tracks Friday to avoid getting stuck and stranded. If we change plans we will re-post asap. It should ( will ) be amazing at Silver Crest this week. If you have back-country or wide touring skies, have fun ! We can’t wait to see the changes.
