Trails Report 12/17/24

The snow just keeps coming at Silver Crest. After a chaotic weekend of several squalls hitting our trails, we have a great base packed and ready for some fine tuned grooming. We set some tracks Saturday and a small group showed up. We came back Sunday morning to find almost another 10 inches. And… another 3 to 5 inches fell Monday afternoon. The ladies who came from Helena picked a great time to show up as we had just started to pack and set some classic tracks, and the Harris & DeFoe families from Helena coming later in the day. Great to see you guys !

Right now the trails are in rough shape from too much snow. Jake got Gold Run packed Monday and various other trails. We don’t have tracks set this week but you still can have fun on back country or touring skis. We plan on the KHGA guys to come again Thursday night to level things out and track set Friday. Hopefully things go to plan but we always have to be flexible. Wednesday is going to be a bad wind day on the roads so don’t get too excited about driving up there. Last weekend there were a few vehicles that went off the road so please drive careful.
