It was a nice day to get out and do some snow grooming. We took our Bearkat and ginzu groomer out and set classic tracks on most of the trail system. Snow conditions are fair to good for most places. We have not set tracks on 89er and Gold Run yet. There are still some rocks hanging around those trails that we don’t want to mess with. The tracks we set are in pretty good shape but the base isn’t quite level yet in certain areas but for the most part its pretty good conditions for early December. It will take a few more passes to get them leveled out. It looks like there have a been a lot of backcountry / touring skiers and snowshoers using the trails ! Thanks to Bighorn Outdoors Specialists for providing rental skis and other equipment. This is probably one of the earliest dates that we have been able to get some tracks set. There are several small projects that need to be done before we get up to speed.

The parking lot is plowed and in good shape. Some trail maps are not up yet so be aware please. We are looking forward to a great snow year ( if predictions are right ). The weather this weekend is calling for snow to start Sunday and by Monday evening 5-12 inches of the white stuff.

Thanks again to all of our donors for their generous contributions that make Silver Crest a great place to get outdoors and have some fun !
