We did get out today to roller pack and set classic tracks for the first time at Silver Crest Trails. There is a hard base and 5-6 inches of powder. We got most of the trail system done with the exception of 89er, Gold Run and the cutoff from Mt Eureka to Neihart Flyer. Most classic tracks are good overall but thin and uneven in various locations. There are some rocks to watch for on the upper section of Quicksilver. No skating yet. The trail signs aren’t up yet either.
Classic skiing is defintely doable but will be uneven and thin in different sections. (Go ski anyway !)
If you go, give us your thoughts and reports on our facebook !
