Thank you to all of our volunteers and SCTA club members who came out last Saturday to put in some work hours on the trails. It could not have been a better day to do it. A blue sky and no wind made for a great day to be out and about in the Little Belts. We would like to recognize our 12 volunteers who showed up. Eric Anderson, Susan Ritter, Jim Marlen, Jim Beisel, Colleen Marrin, Jim McKenzie, Lee Barhaugh, Lori Stephens, Marty Johnson, June Ponder, Laura Broski and Janet Sedlack went out of their way to help us this year. ( apologies for any misspellings). Many driving a long distance from various places in north central Montana. Also there were SCTA board members Gary Ritter, Chuck and Gerry Jennings, Mary Courteau, Fenn Keggi and Jennifer Brunsdon. Combined we totaled 76 volunteer hours that will be applied to our grant requirements for this season. Thats a big help for us and a great start for funding your trails this year !
We don’t see any trees in the middle of trails every year because our volunteers and board members hike around and lop them off on our work day. Special thanks to Marty Johnson and Lee Barhaugh for cutting up and splitting downed trees around the Silverdyke warming hut for fire wood this winter. A big job that skiers and snowshoers will no doubt appreciate.
Thanks again to everyone for your time and effort ! We are looking forward to seeing you on the trails !
Bob
